European Journey and 1980/81 Books on Sale Via TWTD - Ipswich Town News

With thoughts starting to turn towards Christmas, you can now buy copies of On a European Journey: With Ipswich Town in Europe 1962-2002 by David and Philip Houseley via TWTD. Mel Henderson’s 1980-81 The Greatest Season in Ipswich Town's History is also still available, now at a reduced price.

On a European Journey: With Ipswich Town in Europe 1962-2002 charts the story of Town's exploits in European competition and the fans' journeys to see them play. From Alf Ramsey's champions, through the Bobby Robson UEFA Cup-winning era, to George Burley's Premiership team and the 'bonus' season under Joe Royle.

The book is written by the brothers responsible for organising supporters' trips during the 70s and 80s, including the UEFA Cup win in Amsterdam in May 1981.

Fully illustrated, including a 16-page colour section, it includes accounts from fans, former coach and manager Bobby Ferguson, managers' secretary Pat Godbold and media commentators.

Limited edition copies in a special Sir Bobby Robson sleeve and with a certificate from Mick Mills are available for £16.99, while the regular edition can now be purchased for £9.99, both here, along with a number of other recently published Town books.
