Bournemouth Keen to Keep Peters - Ipswich Town News

AFC Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury says he’d like to keep Town’s Jaime Peters on loan for a third month with his current spell due to end after this Saturday’s game against Oldham. The 24-year-old has made 10 appearances for the Cherries without scoring, playing at both right-back and on the wing.

Bradbury says he has spoken to Peters and Steve Cook, who is on loan from Brighton, about extending their time with the League One side: "I will be looking at it in the next couple of days to see whether we can extend them or not in both cases.

"I've had a brief chat with both of them, and they're enjoying playing and would be happy to stay.

"Jaime has been versatile and done well in a couple of positions. We've brought in Simon Francis at right-back which strengthens us up in that area, where Jaime has done really well for us.”

Last week, Blues boss Paul Jewell said he was happy for Peters to continue at Bournemouth as he is benefiting from regular football: "He is a decent footballer but he has not played many games over the last couple of years, so he needs to go out and play. I think he would be the first to admit that.”

Town have not given permission for the Canadian international, who is contracted until 2013, to play in this evening’s FA Cup replay at Gillingham.
