Town’s academy are running the rule over 16-year-old Swedish youngster Isak Nylén, who currently plays for IF Brommapojkarna in his homeland. The 6ft 7in tall striker, already being referred to as the 'Swedish Peter Crouch', is currently training with the Blues’ youth set-up and scored in a friendly against a West Ham academy side on Monday.
Nylén is believed to be a target of a number of Premier League sides and appears likely to be leaving his present club in January.
Meanwhile, former Blue RIchard Wright says he's unlikely to be offered a return to Portman Road despite having been training with the Blues for much of the time since leaving Sheffield United in the summer: "I love Ipswich Town Football Club, I don’t hide that. I think everyone knows that, but at the moment there’s nothing there for me."
Previously, manager Paul Jewell has said he's looking for a younger keeper to come in as the club's long-term number one.
