Ainsley Offered New Deal - Ipswich Town News
Blues boss Paul Jewell has revealed that defender Jack Ainsley has been offered a new contract taking him up to the end of the 2012/13 season. The 21-year-old, whose current terms are up at the end of the year, has made two starts for the Blues this season, the most recent in the 7-1 hammering at Peterborough.
Jewell confirmed that there is an extension on the table for the Felixstowe-based youngster: "We’ve offered Jack a new contract until the end of the following season.”
Meanwhile, midfielder Jamie Griffiths is set to meet with Jewell regarding his Town future, having recently returned from a two-month loan spell at Plymouth: "I’ve told Jamie I’ll have a chat with him.
"He got sent off [in his final game for Plymouth] and they sent him back. I’m going to speak to him later in the week because his contract is up at Christmas time and we’ll see where we’ll go.”
