Town Draw Hull City Away - Ipswich Town News

Town have drawn Hull City away in the third round of the FA Cup. Earlier in the season the Tigers beat the Blues 1-0 in the Championship at Portman Road.

Midfielder Jimmy Bullard will be particularly keen to put one over on his old club having left them in less than amicable circumstances in the summer.

The clubs have never met in cup competition before. Third round ties will be played on the weekend of 7th and 8th January.

On-loan striker Ronan Murray was evidently delighted with his and Swindon's tie against Premier League opposition having come on as a sub in yesterday's 1-0 victory at Colchester, tweeting: "Wigan at home in the cup!!"

Andy Drury's loan at Crawley is due to finish prior to their third round tie at home to Bristol City but the midfielder could well return to the Red Devils on a permanent basis when the January transfer window opens.
