Spring Speculation Continues - Ipswich Town News

The rumours surrounding a possible Town purchase of Luton's Matthew Spring continue, despite Lenny Lawrence's claim that no-one will leave Kenilworth Road except for silly money (he presumably doesn't mean Monopoly money or Lira). Spring is likely to cost £1 million.

Odd Inge Olsen, the surprisingly named Norwegian currently on trial with Town, also has a price on his head. Apparently Molde want £500,000 for the attacking midfielder's services. George Burley said of the player "Odd is an adventurous midfield man of the type that we are looking for. He did quite well last night [reserve game at Barnet] and showed us at times how he likes to get forward. He's due to go back to Norway at the weekend and we look forward to assessing him in training over the rest of the week."

Town's new Chief Executive Howard Wells started work at Portman Road today. TWTD wishes the former Watford man good luck with Town and hopes his appointment will prove a successful one for the club. The next issue of TWTD (out on December 18th) gives a Watford fan's view of Mr Wells' time at Vicarage Road.
