Stockdale Recall Not Expected - Ipswich Town News

Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer’s back problem is not expected to lead to on-loan Blues glovesman David Stockdale’s return to the Premier League club. The Cottagers inserted a 24-hour recall clause in the 26-year-old’s season-long loan deal.

Cottagers boss Martin Jol is hopeful that the Australian will be fit for their Europa League game against Danish side Odense on Wednesday: "He’s got a problem in his spine but a specialist is coming to see him this afternoon [Tuesday] and we’ll make a decision. I think he’s got a great chance of playing.”

Schwarzer, 39, previously suffered from a back problem in September when there were also concerns that Stockdale might be recalled.

Meanwhile, Stockdale and Ibrahima Sonko will be at Planet Blue in the Buttermarket on Thursday (6-7pm).
