Wabara in Provisional Olympics Squad - Ipswich Town News

Town loanee Reece Wabara has revealed that he has been named in the provisional Team GB squad for next summer’s Olympics. Wabara is with the Blues for one more game before he is due to return to Manchester City at the end of his 93-day spell.

The 19-year-old full-back or centre-half tweeted: "Delighted to be included in the provisional Team GB Olympic squad.”

Wabara, an England U20 international, has made one start and five sub appearances for Town since joining on loan in September.

Blues pair Tommy Smith and Cody Cropper are in with a chance of representing New Zealand and the USA respectively at the Games.
