Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Doncaster Winger - Ipswich Town News
Town are one of a number of clubs said to be eyeing Doncaster Rovers midfielder Giles Barnes. The Blues, Celtic, West Ham and Burnley are believed to be monitoring the 23-year-old, whose short-term deal at the Keepmoat Stadium is up on January 1st.
Doncaster are understood to be talking to the ex-West Brom man about new terms, the Londoner having made 12 starts and eight sub appearances since joining Rovers on a free transfer after leaving the Hawthorns in the summer.
The link with the Blues may come from 6ft 1in tall Barnes having played for Derby during Paul Jewell’s time in charge of the Rams.
