Yallop Wins Title! - Ipswich Town News
Frank Yallop's San Jose Earthquakes have won the Major League Soccer championship after a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy at the Columbus Crew Stadium in the MLS Cup final. A.. ahem... sudden-death overtime winner from Dwayne DeRosario won the title.
Last season the Earthquakes were the worst side in the MLS and Yallop has conjured a remarkable turnaround in fortunes.
Yallop, who only took over at the beginning of the season, was handed the Coach of the Year award last week. Earthquakes defender Jeff Agoos said of the win: "We did this with guys who no one had never heard of. This is so sweet and it's all to Frank's credit."
Well done Frank!
