Operation for Finidi - Ipswich Town News
Finidi George will undergo an operation on his injured cheekbone after seeing a specialist today. The Nigerian was injured in a clash of heads early in yesterday's game at Fulham.
Manager George Burley said of Finidi's injury: "Finidi will have an operation this afternoon to re-align his cheekbone. This is a
relatively straight forward operation and with the fracture being so high on his face it will be able to heal naturally and not require a plate or
pins in Finidi's face. We are hopeful that Finidi will be available in early December."
Earlier reports had suggested he might have been out until Christmas.
