Priskin Linked With Millwall - Ipswich Town News

Out-of-favour Blues striker Tamás Priskin is a £250,000 target of Millwall, according to reports in Hungary. The 25-year-old, who is also interesting Russian second division leaders Alania Vladikavkaz, is out of contract at the end of the season.

Claims of a swap deal involving Priskin and Millwall’s James Henry have been floating around Twitter and Millwall forums in particular for a couple of weeks so the report may just be a result of those rumours.

Blues boss Paul Jewell appeared to scupper the chances of that suggested swap taking place when he denied that he was going to return for summer target Henry.

Speaking to the media in Hungary prior to the Millwall reports, Priskin confirmed that there are clubs interested in him: "Indeed, there offers, although I cannot report an agreement."

Priskin, who isn’t ruling out a move to Russia, says he wants to play more football and hopes his future is sorted by the end of January.

Regarding Alania’s interest, Town manager Paul Jewell said last night that he has heard nothing from the Hungarian’s agent regarding the proposed switch: "It’s news to me.”

Meanwhile, Millwall have made an enquiry to Barnsley regarding ex-Blue Danny Haynes, who previously spent time on loan at the Den in 2006. Charlton are reported to have had a bid accepted for the winger or striker.
