Leddy and U18s Looking Forward to Burnley Clash - Ipswich Town News

Academy midfielder Jonathan Leddy says the young Blues are looking forward to their FA Youth Cup fourth round tie against Burnley at Turf Moor on Friday evening (KO 7pm). The U18s beat Leeds 2-0 in the third round at Portman Road.

The Republic of Ireland U17 international , who travelled to Lancashire with the rest of the squad this afternoon, told the club site: "All the lads are really looking forward to the game and hopefully we can get a good result.

"We've been struggling a little bit in the league this season but the Youth Cup is our main focus and we're all fired up for the game.

"It will be a new experience for us, as we are away from Portman Road this time, but it won't faze us and everyone is fit and raring to go."

A win will see Russell Osman’s boys take on Reading or West Bromwich Albion away in the fifth round.
