Town’s U18s crashed out of the FA Youth Cup this evening, losing 3-1 to Burnley at Turf Moor. Russell Osman’s boys went ahead via a deflected Byron Lawrence effort but the Clarets equalised from the spot before half-time and added two after the break.
Two from Steven Hewitt (one pen) and a Joe Whight own goal saw Burnley’s youngsters to their 13th successive win and through to a fifth round tie away against Reading or West Brom.
