O'Connor Set for Return to Ireland - Ipswich Town News
Irish reports are linking Town left-back or left midfielder Shane O’Connor with a move to Shamrock Rovers. Recently on trial at Southend, 21-year-old O’Connor is out of contract at the end of the season with Paul Jewell already confirming that no new terms will be offered.
The Republic of Ireland U21 international O’Connor, who is available on a free transfer, spent time on loan at Port Vale before Christmas but failed to make an appearance for the League Two side.
The ex-Liverpool trainee made 15 starts and seven sub appearances for the Blues after winning himself a deal at Portman Road after asking fellow Corkman Roy Keane for a trial.
