Wimbledon manager Terry Burton is to make an enquiry regarding Town striker Richard Naylor. The frontman has been told that Town will listen to offers and recently refused to sign a contract extension.
Crystal Palace, Barnsley and Bradford are already known to have watched the Leeds-born player, but Burton's seems to be the first serious interest in taking Naylor away from Portman Road.
The Wimbledon boss said: "We are looking for another front man and Richard is a player I am very, very interested in. He could give us another dimension up front. I shall be having a chat with Ipswich boss George Burley about the player and we'll see what develops."
Already at Selhurst Park is Town defender Wayne Brown, who is enjoying the second month of a loan spell. It looks likely that this deal will become permanent with a fee of around £500,000 coming Town's way. Naylor's value is reported as at about the £700,000 mark.
