Pearce Undergoing Treatment - Ipswich Town News
Town target Jason Pearce is now reported to be undergoing treatment at Portsmouth, accounting for his absence from training this morning. There's no suggestion that the 24-year-old has a significant injury problem, however.
Defenders Ricardo Rocha and Tal Ben Haim are also said to be in the physio’s room, while Jamie Ashdown is training in a gym.
Portsmouth's Australian winger Ryan Williams is understood to be closing in on a £500,000 switch to Fulham.
The closer we get to this evening's deadline, the less likely the Blues would appear to be to sign any of their three targets.
Reports elsewhere continue to link Keith Andrews with a deadline day move to the Blues but we understand this is wide of the mark with the Irishman set for a Premier League side, probably Wigan, not Reading as claimed elsewhere, if he can negotiate an exit from Blackburn.
If not, a move to a Championship club may be on the cards from next week, although Town may no longer be interested having signed Ryan Stevenson from Hearts over the weekend.
