Bowyer Only Absentee for Coventry Trip - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Lee Bowyer is Town’s only absentee for Saturday’s trip to Coventry City. The 35-year-old is still suffering with his groin injury.
Manager Paul Jewell says that otherwise he has a full squad to choose from: "There’s just Lee Bowyer who is unavailable, everybody else is fit.”
The Blues boss is able to call on loan keeper Alex McCarthy after his one-match ban for his red card at Leeds, but says he was impressed with Arran Lee-Barrett’s performance in the 5-1 victory over West Ham: "He did very well the other night.”
Jewell, who is suffering with a cold, says he has decided which one of the pair will start between the sticks against the Sky Blues, but refused to be drawn on who would get the nod at this afternoon’s press conference: "I’m not going to tell you.”
