Boro Game Should Go Ahead - Ipswich Town News
Town are confident that, as things currently stand, Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough will go ahead, despite the snowy weather in recent days with the Portman Road pitch having been covered for a week to protect it from the elements.
The club will be using the heated blowers under the tent which covers the surface in the run up to Saturday’s game.
A Town spokesman told TWTD: "As things stand, we’re confident the game will go ahead, but we are aware that the weather is forecast to deteriorate before the weekend.”
With reports that temperatures in East Anglia could drop as low as -10°C, it’s worth keeping an eye on developments between now and Saturday.
Town have reduced prices for Saturday’s game by 25% in what they describe as "a major ticketing trial”.
