Bowyer Only Absentee for Boro Clash - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Lee Bowyer is Town’s only injury absentee for Saturday’s home game against Middlesbrough. The 35-year-old is back in training after his groin injury but is not yet ready to return to the squad.

Manager Paul Jewell said: "It’s been a difficult week training with the weather, but I’m sure we’re not unique in that. Lee’s had three or four days’ training so far this week.

"He’ll probably need another week training with the first team before he can be considered but other than Lee, everyone else is 100%.”

Jewell says Saturday will probably come a bit too early for new signing Ryan Stevenson, who played 70 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday, his first game since his last match for Hearts on December 17th.
