Pitch Passes Second Inspection - Ipswich Town News
Town have announced that the Portman Road surface has passed the second pitch inspection and the game against Middlesbrough goes ahead.
Temperatures dropped as low as -13° overnight in Ipswich but the covers had been on all week with the heated blowers also in use. A first inspection was held at 11.15am when the pitch was deemed fine but for one section by the Cobbold Stand, leading to the second inspection.
Meanwhile, the decision to call off the Peterborough-West Ham game means that if it goes ahead, Town's match will be shown live in various places overseas.
