Burley May Go into Market - Ipswich Town News

George Burley has hinted that he may soon move into the transfer market to strengthen his currently ailing side. However, he has surprised fans by claiming he doesn't have that much to spend.

The Town boss said: "I have a small amount of money to spend but getting in players is never easy."

With the summer transfers for James Scowcroft and Richard Wright put alongside TV money it had been thought that Burley still had a fairly strong transfer fund.

Who his targets might be remain a mystery, although Bournemouth's talented winger Wade Elliott was the latest name to be mentioned in connection with Town at the weekend.

If Town fail to win their next league game they will equal their worst winless run from the 1994/95 season, a year which more supporters are starting to draw parallels with.
