Trust to Hand Over Petition to Clegg - Ipswich Town News
Ipswich Town Ist, the Supporters Trust, will hand its petition calling on the Blues to opt for Category One Academy status to chief executive Simon Clegg prior to Saturday’s game against Cardiff. The petition has been signed by more than 5,000 fans at recent games and online.
The Trust’s website also summarises some of the key aspects of the EPPP's Youth Development Rules document to which the Premier League has agreed and Football League sides met yesterday to discuss.
Town are still decide whether to commit to Category One or Category Two despite the new rules coming in next season. A significant factor in the lack of a decision up to now is whether Academy expenditure will be included within the Financial Fair Play rules the Championship is also set to introduce ahead of 2012/13.
