Carson Agrees Deal - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that midfielder Josh Carson has agreed his new contract and is set to put pen to paper this afternoon or if not in the next couple of days. The Northern Irishman’s new terms — an initial two-year deal with an option for a third season — have been close to completion for a number of weeks with a meeting with his agent Kevin Moran recently cancelled due to the bad weather.
But Jewell says that meeting, where the final details were ironed out, took place earlier this week: "I met his agent Kevin Moran on Tuesday and it’s all agreed. I think he’s going down the ground to sign it this afternoon.”
The 18-year-old Northern Ireland full international’s current contract is up at the end of June.
