No Rae for Town - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has laughed off yesterday's reports claiming that Gavin Rae was set to sign for Town. Some sources were even suggesting that Burley would break the Town transfer record to land the promising Scot. However, it seems the Dundee man is not a target.
Burley said: "It's news to me. I know all about Gavin Rae. I know the boy well, but we have
not made any bid. He's a central midfield player and that's an area where we are well covered at the moment. There are other areas of the team that I am looking to strengthen."
Burley's trip to Italy last Thursday presumably was aimed at filling whichever position he feels needs strengthening. A striker?
