Vasari the Target? - Ipswich Town News

Italian sources are claiming that George Burley's transfer target is Gaetano Vasari, a striker and a former team-mate of Matteo Sereni at Sampdoria.

Vasari is 31 and has scored three goals in eight appearances so far this season. He rejoined Sampdoria from Lecce earlier this year after a previous spell with the Genoa club. Prior to that he was with Caliari, Palermo and Acireale.

Bizarrely he wears the number 70 shirt for his club.
