Jewell: Fully Fit Squad for Peterborough - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Paul Jewell has a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of Saturday’s home game against Peterborough United. Midfielder Grant Leadbitter is back in training after suffering a groin injury having scored both Blues goals in last Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Hull City.

Jewell said: "Grant trained this morning. He came off on Saturday, which is quite worrying because Grant doesn’t come off for no reason.

"He had a scan on Sunday and it didn’t show a tear, so he’s improved rapidly, he’s been training this morning and we’ve got a fully fit squad.”

One player who won’t be involved against Posh — although may be when Burnley are at Portman Road on Wednesday — is Jimmy Bullard, whose club-imposed suspension ends on Friday.

Jewell said: "Jimmy won’t be in contention for Saturday. He comes back into the fold tomorrow and he’ll have a fitness test to see where he is.

"I know from old that Jimmy’s as fit as a flea, he never puts any weight on, so that won’t be a problem. He’s a very fit lad.

"He’s not going to be match fit, obviously, but I know Jimmy and he’ll be really excited about coming in tomorrow.”
