Wright Expected to Be Out for Season - Ipswich Town News

Keeper Richard Wright is set to miss the remaining three games of the season with the knee injury he suffered in training last week. Jimmy Bullard remains sidelined due to illness ahead of Tuesday's home game against Birmingham, but Daryl Murphy is fine despite concerns he might have suffered a hamstring problem late on at Crystal Palace.

Manager Paul Jewell says Wright and Bullard are the only regular squad members unavailable: "Richard Wright and Jimmy. Jimmy’s still ill. The squad will be pretty much the same as it was on Saturday.”

He says Wright, whose contract is up at the end of June, will probably miss the rest of this season with Cody Cropper set to continue as Arran Lee-Barrett’s deputy: "I would think so. It looks like he might need a little scope. He’s had a scan and we’re just waiting for that scan.”

Wright's only appearance of his third spell with his hometown club came in November as Town lost 3-2 at home to Reading.

Better news is that Murphy is OK: "It was a bit of cramp. He was in yesterday and was fine and he was in training this morning.”
