Holland Favourite for Pre-Season Tour - Ipswich Town News
Boss Paul Jewell says the Blues could be off to Holland for their pre-season tour once again this summer. Town played FC Eindhoven and Den Bosch last summer, having taken on PSV in a friendly the previous year.
In addition to last July’s two games, the Town players were put through their paces at a training camp in the village of Mierlo near Eindhoven where Jewell had previously taken his Wigan squad.
The Town boss says nothing is yet set in stone but that he’d be in favour of another Dutch trip ahead of 2012/13: "We’ve got a few things in the pipeline. We went to Holland last year and I do like going there because it’s like a home game to us. We travel all over the country but Holland’s an hour to Stansted and an hour in a plane.
"Whether we can get that organised or not, we’re not sure. Germany’s a possibility and Austria as well, we’re just looking at a few options at the moment.”
