Town manager Paul Jewell has confirmed that amongst his summer additions will be a replacement for scout Andy King. The former Everton and England U21 international midfielder departed to become assistant manager at Northampton in December only a month after joining the Blues staff along with Mark Seagraves.
The Blues boss said: "That is ongoing, someone will be coming in for Andy. We want our scouting network to be even wider.”
Jewell, who appointed David Hamilton, who worked with him at Wigan and Derby, in addition to chief scout Steve McCall soon after he joined Town, said in November that bringing in King and Seagraves would give the Blues a network as strong as any club at this level.
"We’ve added two full-time scouts to our network,” he said. "It gives us four full-time scouts, which is as many as any Championship, if not Premier League, team has got, as well as three or four part-time scouts. I think recruitment is everything in football.”
