Town to Play Braintree in Pre-Season - Ipswich Town News
The Blues will play Blue Square Bet Premier side Braintree Town at their Amlin Stadium on Tuesday, 24th July with a 7.30pm kick-off. The match is the first pre-season friendly to have been confirmed.
Former Town reserves and U18s midfielder Jai Reason is a regular in the Iron’s side. The 22-year-old was in the Blues line-up last time they played a friendly at Braintree when goals from Dean Bowditch and Jordan Rhodes saw them to a 2-0 victory.
Town also visited Braintree in their preparations for the 2001/02 campaign, winning 5-1.
The Blues are yet to decide where they will go on their pre-season tour but Holland is the most likely destination.
