Town are again being linked with Burnley midfielder Dean Marney with Brighton and Hove Albion and others clubs also said to be eyeing the 28-year-old former Spurs man. TWTD revealed that the Blues were interested in the Londoner a year ago with Town also mentioned in connection with the former England U21 international in January.
Marney started his career with Tottenham, during which time he went out on loan to Swindon, QPR, Gillingham and Norwich.
Having made only four starts and seven sub appearances for Spurs, scoring two goals, both in a 5-2 victory over Everton, the Barking-born player joined Hull City in July 2006 for an undisclosed fee believed to be around the £1 million mark.
After four years, 111 starts, 27 games from the bench, nine goals and a promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, 6ft tall Marney left the Tigers for Burnley for a fee reported to be around £500,000 in May 2010.
Since then Marney, whose contract is up next summer, has made 71 starts and 10 sub appearances for the Lancastrians, scoring three times, and was a regular in the Clarets side during 2011/12.
