Life's a Wembley Pitch - Ipswich Town News

Ahead of this Saturday’s FA Cup final, BBC Radio Suffolk’s Life’s a Pitch is looking for your memories of Town’s glorious 1978 victory over Arsenal. Presenter Mark Murphy will be joined by the show’s regulars, Blues legend Kevin Beattie, who played that day, football’s youngest pundit Tractorboy and TWTD’s Phil Ham plus a few FA Cup final-related guests (Saturday, midday to 2pm).

Were you at Wembley that day? Did you make one of the famous banners? Were you hanging off a bridge or a lamppost as the team and fans made their way back to Suffolk? Were you in Christchurch Park for Swap Shop with Keith Chegwin and a blue-and-white-rosetted Delia? We’ll also be asking whether the cup has lost its magic with this year’s final kicking off at 5.15pm.

Post your recollections or thoughts below or in an email to Mark, on the programme’s Facebook page, to Mark’s Twitter or during the show call 01473 212121 or text 81333 starting your message with SFK.

The show can be heard on 95.5FM, 95.9FM, 103.9FM and 104.6FM or online here.
