Burley on Rumours - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has admitted that they have been watching Aris Salonica striker Angelos Charisteas (or Haristeas in some quarters). However, it seems the Greek international is not the Town boss's immediate target.
He is apparently an attacking midfielder and Burley is awaiting a response to an offer: "We have faxed through an offer to a club for one of their players and we are waiting to hear if that is acceptable. I'm hopful of getting the player but there is still much to be done."
Of the Greek striker the Burley said: "I can confirm that Simnon Hunt watched the game at Aris on Sunday but we have not made an offer for any Greek player."
Burley also refuted suggestions in Sweden that he is interested in Helsingborg's Christoffer Andersson.
