Town to Return to Den Bosch - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that the Blues are set for a return to Den Bosch during this summer’s pre-season trip to the Netherlands. The date of the friendly is yet to be confirmed.
Town took on the s’Hertogenbosch-based side last summer with goals from Tommy Smith, Jason Scotland and Tamás Priskin seeing the Blues to a 3-1 victory.
By the time Town visit, Den Bosch could be in the Dutch top flight, the Eredivisie, having beaten Go Ahead Eagles in the first round of the the somewhat complicated Dutch play-off system.
They next play Fabian Wilnis’s old side De Graafschap, who finished 17th in the Eredivisie, and if successful will take on the winners of Sparta Rotterdam-Willem II for a place in the top league.
Town are holding a training camp at facilities near Eindhoven between July 15th and 20th with one more friendly likely to be arranged in addition to the Den Bosch game.
