Wright Joins Preston - Ipswich Town News
Preston North End have confirmed that released Blues keeper Richard Wright will join them on a Bosman free transfer on July 1st, as reported yesterday. Last month, Wright, 34, was told he would not be offered the chance to extend his third spell with his home town club when his contract is up on June 30th.
League One Preston’s chairman of football Peter Ridsdale said: "Richard's qualities and extensive top level experience will add a vital ingredient to our squad.
"He has won major honours at the top level and represented his country and that sort of knowledge and will to win will be an excellent addition to a squad that is starting to take shape nicely."
Wright has signed a one-year deal.
