Celtic Drop Murphy Fee - Ipswich Town News
Celtic are willing to sell Daryl Murphy to Town for a nominal fee, according to the Scottish media. On Saturday, TWTD reported that the Blues and Bhoys are set to discuss the 29-year-old’s future this week.
The SPL champions initially wanted a £300,000 fee for the Irish international but now are said to be willing to accept a significantly lower figure in order to remove the remaining year of Murphy’s contract from their wage bill.
TWTD understands that Murphy and his family are very keen to remain in Suffolk longer term, the former Waterford United and Sunderland man having spent two spells on loan at Portman Road.
