U18s Take Annual Trip to Southwold - Ipswich Town News
The Blues' U18s will make their annual trip to north Suffolk to face Southwold Town on Friday 27th July (KO TBC). The Town youngsters, including the 10 new first-year scholars, will be at Playford Road for the start of pre-season training on Monday 2nd July.
Their pre-season programme also includes games against Kirkley and Pakefield at their Walmer Road ground on Saturday 14th July (KO noon), at home to West Ham the following Saturday (11am), at Ipswich Wanderers on Wednesday 25th July (7pm), Leyton Orient at Playford Road on Wednesday 1st August (2pm), at Norwich on Saturday 4th August (11am) and finally at Colchester on Saturday 11th August (11am).
Their season proper is set to get under way on Saturday 18th August, although with details of the new Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) still being finalised that could change.
Meanwhile, no Town games were included in Sky's list of early season live TV matches.
