Scotland Signs New Deal - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that striker Jason Scotland has signed his new one-year contract with the club. The 33-year-old, whose previous terms were up at the weekend, joined the rest of the squad for the start of pre-season training yesterday.
Jewell said: "The bad news is that Jason has signed his contract. It was always going to be done, it was just a matter of timing really.
"Jason knows he’s not going to start and finish every game but I think he got 10 goals for us last season and he’s an impact player.
"He can come on and change a game or have an effect on a game. Or he can start, but he’s not going to last 90 minutes every week. We know that, he knows that, and we will be looking to bring another centre forward in.”
