Mason's Football Fun Day at Ipswich Wanderers on Sunday - Ipswich Town News

Former Blue Fabian Wilnis is the star name in the Celebrity XI playing at Mason’s Football Fun Day on Sunday afternoon at Ipswich Wanderers’ SEH Sports Ground on Humber Doucy Lane. TWTD’s Phil is a rather more dubious addition to the squad, which will be taking on Mason’s XI, a team made up of volunteers.

All funds raised from Mason’s Football Fun Day will all go towards local charity Mason’s Magic, which was set up by seven-year-old brain tumour sufferer Mason Fountain to provide treats for children suffering with cancer and brain tumours.

The day runs from noon until 5pm and will feature two football matches and a large street market, while the day's two big sporting events elsewhere - the Andy Murray's Wimbledon final and the British Grand Prix - will be screened in the bar.

The first game will feature ISFL's Felixstowe Dolphins and fellow ISFL club Claydon Galaxy. The main event will then see a Celebrity XI take on a Mason’s XI, which will be made up of volunteers, who have paid £50 to play 90 minutes against the stars, managed by Blues legend Kevin Beattie. The Only Way Is Essex star Linzi Peel will also be present.

Entrance is completely free, but any donations to Mason's Magic would be greatly appreciated with volunteers on hand with collection buckets. Parking is limited with additional spaces available at Ipswich Rugby Club, St Andrew's church and Town's Playford Road training ground.

Celebs XI: Fabian Wilnis - Ipswich Town legend, Kevin Ellis — ex-Town pro, Lewis Clay - singer about to sign a recording deal, Rob Lemarr - TV presenter (Super Casino, Channel 5), Bryn Lucas - TV presenter, Ryan Eggar - TV presenter and producer, Tom East - male model, Mr Supernational and soon to be reality TV star, Adam Moss - singer (album Get a Grip Kid just released), Matt Fiddes - martial arts expert and former bodyguard to Michael Jackson, Marc Zammit - actor (featured in The Bill and Holby City), Jethro Sheeran (aka Alonestar) - rapper, producer, recording artist, Rick Kerry - British Touring Car Championship racer, Dave Gooderham — EADT, Gary Devereaux - Commercial Manager at BTS (the event’s sponsor), Phil Ham - TWTD.
