Mild a Town Target? - Ipswich Town News

Saturday's Swedish goalscorer HÃ¥kan Mild is being claimed as a Town target. Reports in the Swedish press suggest that Town are about to make a move for the 30-year-old central midfielder who currently plays for IFK Gothenburg.

£2 million-rated Mild is a very established international having played in the 1994 Swedish side which finished third in the World Cup. He has also scored against England on more than just the one ocasion. As well as Saturday's effort he put two past us in the 3-3 draw in 1995.

TWTD has heard that we could learn as soon as today who the subject of George Burley's offer is. However, we would be surprised if it is Mild. All recent reports have suggested that the player we are after is a left-sided attacking midfielder and Mild hardly seems to fit that bill.
