Hull City have confirmed the signing of Eldin Jakupović, who was on trial with Town at the end of last week, on a two-year deal. The Bosnian-born former Swiss international previously spent time on trial with the Tigers at the end of the last season and was offered a contract, which was withdrawn after the departure of then-manager Nick Barmby.
According to reports this morning, current Hull boss Steve Bruce was alerted that free agent Jakupović was still available by his presence at Town for his trial at Playford Road. The 27-year-old was due to spend a week with the Blues having joined up on Thursday.
Speaking then, Blues manager Paul Jewell said he has other keepers he is considering aside from the former Aris, Lokomotiv Moscow and Grasshoppers man: "We’re having a look at him for the week, but we’ve also got two or three other targets that even if that happens we might pursue.”
Jakupović has flown out to Portugal where the Tigers are holding a pre-season training camp.
