Williams Welsh U21s Manager - Ipswich Town News
Former Blue Geraint Williams is set to be appointed the Welsh U21 manager on Tuesday. Williams was with Town between 1992 and 1998, making 264 appearances and scoring three goals.
Williams, who won 13 Welsh caps between 1988 and 1996, is taking over from Bryan Flynn, who had been in the role for eight years before his contract ended in May.
Recent Town signing Elliott Hewitt is a current member of the Welsh U21 squad having won five caps up to now.
In addition to his spell with Town, the midfielder, who is still based locally, played for Bristol Rovers, Derby and Colchester, before managing the U's. His most recent role in football was manager of Leyton Orient, a position he left in 2010.
