Blues boss Paul Jewell says midfielder Jimmy Bullard returned to the club in good shape after the summer — despite claims that he was in a foreign prison cell.
Jewell said: "Every player was given an individual programme for the summer and one thing Jimmy doesn’t lack is fitness.
"Simon Clegg took a phonecall [from a national newspaper a couple of weeks ago] to say he’d been arrested in Marbella.
"He rang Jimmy straight away and Jimmy was fishing. You can’t have phones [in jail]!
"There’s always a story with Jimmy, but he’s in good condition.”
