Blues target Scott Loach is set to undergo a medical at Town this evening as the keeper closes in on a dream move to his boyhood club. We understand Loach is not yet at Portman Road but will be later on today with the move looking likely to be confirmed either this evening or tomorrow.
The Nottingham-born glovesman's representatives have talked personal terms with the Blues today with the deal - probably a three or four-year contract - now looking closer to completion than manager Paul Jewell suggested after last night’s game at Helmond Sport: "We’ve been chasing a goalkeeper for a while and we’re hoping it’s going to happen in the next few days.”
Loach was previously with the Blues’ academy between 1997 and 2000 before his family returned to Nottingham. Loach can be seen in action with the Blues as a youngster in this short film.
