Burke and Town Academy at Northern Ireland Milk Cup - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Cormac Burke has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for the Milk Cup which they are hosting from this weekend. Burke, 18, and his team-mates will play in the Elite U20 section of the famous youth competition which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, while Town’s academy are involved in the U15 Junior section.
Burke, who has a year left on his Town professional contract, and Northern Ireland take on Chile in Ballymena on Saturday, then on Monday they face Mexico in Coleraine before the semi-finals and finals.
The Town youngsters are up against County Tyrone in Omagh on Saturday, Queen of the South in Portrush on Monday and Watford at Portstewart on Tuesday in the group stages.
