MIld to Wimbledon - Ipswich Town News
Swedish international and rumoured Town target HÃ¥kan Mild is set to join Wimbledon. Yesterday the Swedish press suggested that Mild would be on his way to Town, something George Burley immediately refuted.
Wimbledon manager Terry Burton said: "We've spoken to him and he's keen to come. We've agreed a nominal fee to compensate his club for losing him a few months early. Whenever you can get hold of such a quality player on a virtual free it's very fortunate."
Meanwhile Wayne Brown has said he is keen to make his move to Wimbledon permanent: "I would be happy to stay. However, that is a matter for Ipswich and the club to decide. Terry's hands are tied financially at the moment so we will have to wait and see."
