Delaney to Miss Cup Clash - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Damien Delaney has been added to the Republic of Ireland squad facing Serbia in a friendly on Wednesday. As a result, the 31-year-old will miss Tuesday’s Capital One Cup first round tie at home to Bristol Rovers.
The Cork-born defender, who has previously won five full caps, joined up with the Irish squad today after Stoke’s Marc Wilson dropped out.
The Blues will also be without Josh Carson and Ronan Murray for Tuesday’s game against the Pirates.
