Boss Paul Jewell says there has been some interest in Canadian international Jaime Peters, who he has told can leave the club. The 25-year-old’s representatives are understood to be in talks with the Blues about settling the final year of his contract.
Jewell said: "Jaime’s free to go. I’ve told Jaime he doesn’t figure. There have been one or two clubs interested in Jaime, but as yet nothing’s happened.”
In January, SPL St Johnstone were interested in the midfielder or full-back, but the three-club rule prevented Peters, who was on loan at Bournemouth earlier in the season, from making the switch.
The Town boss has also said that Nathan Ellington is surplus to requirements but with the Blues short on options the 31-year-old will be involved in the squad facing his first Football League club this evening: "There’s been no progress so far on Duke and he’ll be in the 18 against Bristol Rovers.”
