Town Again Linked With Cardiff's Blake - Ipswich Town News
Town and Blackpool are reported to be targeting Cardiff’s Welsh international defender Darcy Blake.
The Blues were previously mentioned in connection with the 23-year-old in January and November when manager Paul Jewell dismissed having any interest in the New Tredegar-born centre-half.
Speaking in November, Jewell said: "I always thought he was a full-back [rather than a centre-half].
"He’s not one we’ve mentioned. I’m not saying he’s not a good player but he’s not one I’ve asked about.”
Blake, who can also operate in midfield, would appear to be out of Malky Mackay’s plans at Cardiff. The 6ft tall former Plymouth loanee, who was recently linked with Crystal Palace, has a year remaining on his contract having reportedly turned down new terms earlier this month.
